The Musée de la Banque of Luxembourg Ville !!!

I am inspired to tell you about one of my favorite countries that have not live in yet. Visited several times always in family trips and many memorable moments, we love to visit more, and will be back ,eventually. I have found me a picture in my cd rom vault and another from another older post to do this one for you and me, Therefore, here is my take on the Musée de la Banque of Luxembourg Ville !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The Banque et Caisse d’Épargne de l’Etat, (BCEE)  Spuerkeess is a financial establishment founded in 1856, following the construction of the Pont Adolphe from 1900 to 1903 at the entrance to Avenue de la Liberté was ordered the construction of a monumental appearance. This is how the current Renaissance-style Hôtel de la Caisse d’Épargne was built between 1909 and 1913 including a beautfiul clock tower,

Inside the headquarters of the Banque et Caisse d’Épargne de l’État (BCEE) or State Bank and Savings Bank (BCEE). Inaugurated in 1995, the museum traces more than 150 years of history of the State Bank and Savings Bank and the Luxembourg financial center in general. The museum’s eleven rooms cover a total area of 650 m² and occupy the former counter hall of the BCEE headquarters, located at 1 Place de Metz. Interactive terminals and touchscreens are available to visitors so they can learn about the evolution of the banking profession and the financial center in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The museum space is divided into eight themes: History, Architecture, Currency, Savings, Library, Vault, Trading Room, and Electronic Banking. I read it has closed so check before going ok,

The Musée de la Banque or the Banking Museum is located on the Plateau Bourbon
at the entrance to Avenue de la Liberté, a monumental building. The current Renaissance-style
Hôtel de la Caisse d’Épargne building was built between 1909 and 1913. The bank counters located at 1 Place de Metz closed their doors in 1987 in favor of the creation of a Banking Museum in 1995.

A bit of history I like tell us that the Luxembourg Stock Exchange was created on 5 April 1928 and the Caisse d’Épargne became its founding member and main shareholder. Today, the Banque et Caisse d’Épargne de l’État, Luxembourg remains the largest shareholder of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. After the successive establishment of the Luxembourg Railways (CFL), the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), and the European Investment Bank (EIB) at 2 Place de Metz, it was the turn of the Caisse d’Épargne to move into this historic location in 1987. The excavation of a 15 meters deep tunnel connecting buildings 1 and 2, Place de Metz, as well as the Rousegäertchen building began in 1987. The Tunnel was gradually put into service from March 1991. The Contemporary Art Gallery ‘Am Tunnel’, located in the tunnel of the bank, opened its doors in 1994. Since then, exhibitions by world-renowned artists have been shown there. The counters located at 1 Place de Metz closed their doors in 1987 in favor of the creation in 1995 of an educational Banking Museum, presenting the banking profession, the history of the Luxembourg financial center and the history of BCEE.
