We were back to my dear Spain again !! love it !! We came by car of course and took time to see new areas and old repeat with some of them as introduction to my sons and our dog Rex ! I rented a small house in a off the beaten path country town that was just perfect ! And of course, why not a Real Madrid souvenir to take home, the best club in the history of football/soccer ::) Many stores now but the original is go to Santiago Bernabeu stadium. However, been closer to the centro or city center there is one nice store at Calle Carmen,3. We were there again this time or any time lol !

The umbrellas and fans house of Casa de Diego founded in the 18C. This is a memorable store of many shopping by my mom, wife, dad and for gifts giving, I needed to stop by even if this time nothing was purchase, Memories forever,at the Puerta del Sol.

The candies La Violeta were already known by King Alfonso XIII but, it was not only the taste of candies that captivated Alfonso XIII and many other renowned people, writers, politicians, actors …, but their presentation. Casa Mira, for those wonderful Spanish pastries including nougat or turron. Located at Carrera de San Jéronimo, 30 , metro Sevilla line 2. Open every day from 10h-14h and 17h-21h, Sundays 10h30-14h30 and 17h30-21h. In 1855 Jijona’s confectioner, Luis Mira, opened at the no. 30. A must stop in Madrid,period.

The restaurante Lhardy located at no. 8 carrera de San Jerónimo was inaugurated in 1839 by a Frenchmen Emilio Huguenin Lhardy. It is considered one of the oldest restaurants in Madrid, as the same as known today: menú with a price for each dish.

We have frequented several of them over the years but our favorite stays on carrera San Jeronimo. This time we stop by but did not dine in just for the memories of always. These are the Museo del Jamon restaurants, another nice stop while in Madrid quality/price ratio guaranteed.
