This one was a business meeting I was invited in believe it was 2015, and it was good so next trips with the family stop by here as well, Always a good experience with nice service and good food, recommended,

Named after its owner Esteban González, this restaurant is the result of a lifetime’s effort to fulfill a dream. El Rincón de Esteban offers classic cuisine with seasonal products and it is not uncommon to find famous personalities from the world of politics on their tables. It’s worth eating here every day. But coming in the themed days of hunting (season), in the codfish, and in the time of San Isidro will allow you to try special menus very top! In the Calle Santa Catalina,3 across side street to the Congress of Deputies (gov of Spain); this restaurant invites, before and after, to be able to walk through the pictorial and historic streets of the Barrio de Letras, as well as savor the capital Castiso pure local tradition. Without a doubt,El Rincón de Esteban, is one of those classics that three generations that transit Madrid know perfectly; as well as the culinary temple that every tourist must visit to understand the Spanish gastronomic culture.

El Rincon de Esteban has been berving bood to several generations of loyal customers in their day to day or in important celebrations such as baptisms, weddings and communions in its three different rooms where it can accommodate from 20 to 60 and all three 120 diners. In addition, it has a terrace in Summer where you can enjoy its succulant wines and its classic cuisine with seasonal products that makes it a perfect place for any ocasion.the restaurant is elegantly decored in traditional Castilian style with private dining rooms and free parking for its distinguished clientele in the parking de Las Cortes.

There you go folks, always a wonderful feeling been in my Madrid. The food is great, the ambiance is wonderful, and the prices softly just what the doctor ordered. My background comes all the way from Candelaria and Pajara in Tenerife, Spain where my grandparents came from ;not knowing each other then, to Punta Brava, west of Havana, Cuba. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
