This is Naples, Florida !!!

The city of Naples is the seat of Collier County, in the state of Florida, It is located just west of the Big Cypress National Preserve and north of the Everglades.  We came here by car, of course, All straight from old home Silver Lakes, Miramar along the I 75 (Allegator Alley) to the junction with the Beck blvd if we left early we had our breakfast at the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store restaurant right there, we then took SR 84 or Davis blvd right into Tamiami Trail SR41 5th Avenue in Naples , This 5th Avenue if continues take you to the Naples Beach! Always a wonderful ride of only about 1h45 min ! Sorry for the old paper pictures but these are treasures of good memories. Hope you enjoy the post as I

The City of Naples is great for shopping, the beaches and just glorious laidback ambiance, Downtown or City center Naples is home to The Naples Players, the 5th Avenue South, and 3rd Street South shopping districts, which feature a variety of antique luxury shops. Gallery Row is a concentration among the numerous art galleries spread throughout the downtown area. Located directly off of Tamiami Trail are the Waterside Shops, an upscale open-air shopping center. Near downtown Naples Bay and the Gordon River is the shopping district of Tin City.

The Naples beach on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico is more than 10 miles (16 km) long and is known for its cleanliness and pristine white sand. Vanderbilt Beach is an unincorporated community  located north of the Pelican Bay and west of Naples Park, along the Gulf of Mexico ; it is 9 miles (14 km) north of the center of Naples. The popular Naples Pier at the west end of 12th Avenue South. Hurricane Ian wreaked havoc on the City of Naples, causing significant destruction to the beloved Naples Pier and numerous beach accesses. However, the unfortunate reality is that 4 beach accesses suffered major damage and are currently deemed unsafe for public use.

A nice relaxing way to see the main points in Naples is to take the Trolley tour ! Fun for the whole family ! Through a tour of approximately 2 hours, and possible to take a complete tour or hop on and off at the different stops (14 in total) as you wish, thanks to your day ticket, The official Naples Trolley Tours : https://naplestrolleytours.com/

The wonderful Venetian Village is an upscale, waterside open-air shopping district in Naples, built on the edge of Venetian Bay. The mall contains a large number of stores and restaurants. This shopping district is located along Gulf Shore Boulevard North, close to the Gulf of Mexico. There are about 45 shops there now, we especially enjoyed the resto Le Petit French Café ! And Ben & Jerry Ice Cream ! Awesome !!The official Venetian Village shops : https://www.venetianvillage.com/

Another area we enjoy was 5th Avenue and its shops/restos, We did not shop each time but enjoyed the walks here near the Naples beach, One of the nation’s most exclusive addresses, 649 5th Avenue South is home to upscale fashion and jewelry, spas, one-of-a-kind gifts, artwork, home décor, etc. Historic and modern architecture blend together here in eclectic sophistication, while tropical blooms and lush greenery grace the pedestrian-friendly promenades, and each storefront is filled with wonderful finds and delights. Here we enjoyed mostly Brambles English Tea Room & Gift Shop, Naples Soap Company, and Vineyards Vines ! Sublime !! The official 5th Avenue South : https://www.fifthavenuesouth.com/

Some of the best pure Florida natural spots are here too, The Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is a National Audubon Society sanctuary located north of Naples and east of Bonita Springs, one of the largest stands of bald cypress and pond cypress in North America was created in 1954 to protect the region. The Naples area is also located within the Everglades National Park. You have around nearby the Big Cypress National Preserve, Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge, Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge, and Picayune Strand State Forest. Also, Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park is a Florida state park located on a barrier island near Naples, 6 miles west of I-75 in North Naples. The Cocohatchee River and the Gulf of Mexico are accessible from the park, which contains a hard-bottom reef. Amenities include beaches, boat ramps, boardwalks, observation decks, picnic areas, and a pavilion that has 10 tables and several grills, and can hold 100 people. Also, a concession stand is present

The city of Naples was founded in the late 1880s by former Confederate general and Kentucky senator John Stuart Williams and his partner, Louisville businessman Walter N. Haldeman, publisher of the Louisville Courier-Journal. The name Naples was chosen because the developers described the bay as “surpassing the bay of Naples, Italy.” Further development was anticipated after the railroad reached Naples on January 7, 1927, and the Tamiami Trail linking Naples to Miami was completed in 1928, but began operating after the Great Depression and even more after WWII.
