Havana, message to La Habana : Well this is where all started and need to have it of my beginnings it always help me. So there it goes my pictures of my childhood in a far away country that each day goes more and more different….but never forgotten. Havana is always in my mind even after more than 53 years away. Esta pagina es sobre mis raices ,donde todo comenzo hace muchos años y quiero compartir con Ustedes. Aqui encontraran algunas de mis fotos de cuando chico en un pais bien lejano que cada dia se va mas diferente…pero nunca olvidado. La Habana siempre en mi mente hasta despues de 53 años fuera. Ceci est où tout est commencé et le besoin de faire de la nostalgie m’aider toujours a me connaitre. Donc, voilà mon enfance dans un pays lointain que chaque jour va de plus en plus différent….mais jamais oublié. La Havane est toujours dans mon esprit même après plus de 53 ans d’absence.
My life in Madrid, Spain! Upon arriving for the first time in 1970 this was the city of stories and dreams by grandparents. Finally here for four years,and many visits afterward, it has caught up with me. No matter where I live ,there always will be Madrid in my heart. You too if you try to live it, embrace it, love it,yes you will ::) Thank you Madrid !!! In the Comunidad de Madrid, Kingdom of Spain!
My introduction to USA! : My entry point to the USA, this was New Jersey back in the early 70’s and my first encounter with Middle School and High School in America at Perth Amboy (13 years here!). Also, my first job, my driving license and my citizenship were done in county courthouse of New Brunswick. My first trip by car to NYC ! Yankee Stadium yeah! and my many trips of joy to the Jersey Shore! I came back briefly in 2007. Florida is sunshine, and more sun, fun, paradise, beaches, laidback style, and great entertainement for all. It was my home for 18 years, it was then the best years of my life. I left for good in august 2003, but came back in August 2009 for a family visit. And then in 2015 for a brief business visit, my last. The towns of Daytona Beach, Ormond by the Sea, Holly Hill, Ormond Beach, North Miami, Hialeah, and Miramar, my last will always be in my heart. It will take more than distance and money to keep me away from it, its always in my travel list. I still have family throughtout the State of Florida so even more reason. Enjoy it as much as I do !!!
My hommage to my late dear Frenchie Martine, RIP : I have done a couple of posts on my beloved dear late wife Martine, my Frenchie, my mamie bleu of 28 years of glorious marriage and 3 wonderful young men. I thought that posts are embedded into the blog and sometimes hard to find even by me … So I figure more fitting to do a Page, that is kept on my top section of my blog , more permanent and more visible me think. So this is my hommage to my dear late wife Martine, who passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on April 30 2018 at CHBA Vannes hospital . We were married in Daytona Beach, Florida USA on December 26 1990. She was born in Meaux, department of the Seine-et-Marne dept 77, region ïle de France, France on September 26 1958. Farewell my darling, you are greatly missed and is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you and cry; you know me a sentimental guy, and more so thanks to your sweet caressing and love. Your boys are good, as our motto was and is, One for all and All for one. merci ma cherie de Meaux! Thanks again for the memories that will last a lifetime.
Since then, I have lost my pillars of my parents, my dear mom Gladys (2007), and my dear dad Elio (2023), always remembered and always thanksful for all they have share and given to me. RIP love them dearly !!! I have been in retirement since July 2024 right in same house in the beautiful Morbihan of my lovely Bretagne and in my belle France.
