A place dear to me in my infancy that had not mentioned before but now with pictures to follow the playa El Salado, The nice El Salado beach is located west of Havana, about 31 km on the coast of the new province of Artemisa. It is a beautiful and very popular beach in the country characterized by its crystal-clear waters, perfect for diving, and by the fascinating fauna and flora of its nature. Its beautiful seabed has a coral reef full of fish species and colorful marine plants that will fascinate you. Dive in one of its 15 dive sites and enjoy this colorful underwater world. This beach is an ideal destination for those who enjoy nature and tranquility. It is ideal for anything, because the depth of the water is safe and it is not very large. The water is crystal clear, with an adjustable temperature throughout the year, which allows you to enjoy a refreshing bath
The Playa El Salado is where locals go when they want a day at the beach without going far. It doesn’t have the infrastructure of other well known beaches, but it offers something those places don’t: the experience of a Cuban beach rather than a tourist beach. Local families, music, food prepared on portable grills and that particular relaxed energy of Cubans on a day off make this one of the most authentic beach experiences near the capital. Indeed this was my most closer beach and came here as a boy with my Mom ,and aunts/cousins ; memories forever, Later on in 1998 was able to bring my dear late wife Martine and our boys here too ! Sublime ! You can get here taking the road along the Malecón, continue to Avenida 5ta ,and later bear toward the Carretera Panamericana or Pan American highway passing Playa Baracoa over the Santa Ana river bear right to playa El Salado, When I went we came by Bauta on the carretera central to Caimito and bearing right towards Cangrejeras to Baracoa beach beariing left towards Playa el Salado, Picture below is my dear late wife Martine and our boys! So happy that they saw my roots!
