We were back to my dear Spain again !! love it !! We came by car of course and took time to see new areas and old repeat with some of them as introduction to my sons and our dog Rex ! I rented a small house in a off the beaten path country town that was just perfect ! I like to continue the saga of our new road warrior experiences even if now with less in our family, This post is on my latest road warrior tour of wonderful sublime Spain.  Therefore, let me tell you about the Muralla (wall) of Olmedo !!! The town of Olmedo is in the province of Valladolid in the autonomous community of Castilla Y-León in the kingdom of Spain, The city is a Mudejare architectural home. It is 60 km from my home base of Velliza, on the A6 and CL 602 roads, and 42 km from Valladolid ,and 147 km from Madrid, We were in town and parked by parking Plaza Mayor, superbe.

The Murallas or Wall of Olmedo has preserved remains of its walls, towers and doors, The wall of Olmedo dates from the 11C of the original wall of the city only the third is standing, the northern and eastern zone being better preserved. Only those of San Miguel and that of the Villa are preserved. They have served for centuries as a quarry in the constructions of the town,It is owned by the town of Olmedo.

The Castilian plains being topographically helpless in front of medieval struggles were fortified either by walls or castles.Two battles that bear the name of the town were given to its situation. In the first, the infants of Aragon were defeated and in the second one would be able to impose the pact of Guisando. and of the arches or doors only that of San Miguel and that of the Villa are still standing. The constructive style of the walls follows the schemes of the Mudejar Toledano, the masonry boxes are separated by brick yarn, material that is also used in the angles and in the arches of entry to the city.

Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
