Back to Velliza !!!

We were back to my dear Spain again !! love it !! We came by car of course and took time to see new areas and old repeat with some of them as introduction to my sons and our dog Rex ! I rented a small house in a off the beaten path country town that was just perfect ! I like to continue the saga of Velliza and the Atelier house in this post as an introductory to my latest road warrior tour of wonderful sublime Spain, Therefore, this is back to Velliza !!! We came down quickly on the N165 to Nantes and the A83 by Niort, there took the A10 towards Bordeaux and then the A63 towards Spain passing by Irun and San Sebastian, cutting into Vitoria Gazteiz (castle) and continuing towards Burgos and Valladolid to arrive at pleasantly small Velliza on the VP 5806 county road. We put gas/petrol just once at Saint Jean de Luz A63 exit/sortie 3 into 1 avenida de Lahanchipia, Leclerc supermarket for cheaper gas at 1.62 per liter…. The trip took 1063 km with 3 stops for us, gas and Rex in about less than 12 hours,

And went again straight into our Atelier house at Calle Humilladero 7, Oh yes as usual by me, the town of Velliza is in the province of Valladolid, in the Autonomous Community of Castilla y Léon, only 24 km from Valladolid, 10 km of Tordesillas, 5 km from Simancas, 43 km from Medina del Campo ,and 199 km from Madrid. In the area we load up on gas/petrol at the friendly guy who told me drink Verdejo (white grape wine) and you won’t get old !! He is right of course ! See him at service station Los CEAS Rueda Centro on the Carretera de Madrid KM. 171 off the A6 highway,

And we came back to a nice fully loaded grocery store about 6 km from the rental house Agropal good stuff great prices! in the limits of the town of Simancas. Exactly ; Simancas silo Camino de Geria, 33 road VP 5806 Simancas, We try to get our verdejo wines of Blume delicious white wines of Rueda at Bodega Pagos del Rey, Avenida Morejona, 6, right off the town center of Rueda,but they had ran out of 2023 and was just bottling the 2024 !! We were late and this was the holiday of the immaculate conception Virgin so all was closed, except an SuperCor store in a Repsol gas station that bail us out for groceries the first day! This store was in nearby Tordesillas (see posts) and we loaded up!

There you go folks , another wonderful nostalgic, sentimental trip to my dear Spain, Velliza is nice, and by now very nostalgic for us, the owner Gustavo is a nice guy with a wonderful house ! We were here twice in 2024 , as do not know when we will be back to this house, we sure will have it in our hearts forever, Very convenient on off, the A62 and A6 highways connecting to all of Castilla y Léon and Comunidad de Madrid regions, Again, hope you enjoy this post on back to Velliza as I

Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
