The Church San Martin of Trujillo, part I !!!

Once again, found me older pictures that should be in my blog, This is wonderful visit taken there by a local, he drove ! This is in my deep Spain, an area seldom visited and huge in monuments, history and architecture of Spain, Europe and the  Americas. I like to bring you to the Church Saint Martin of Trujillo, part I !!! Hope you enjoy it as I.

The Church San Martín of medieval origin located in the city of Trujillo, in the province of Cáceres, Autonomous Community of Extremadura. It is located at one of the angles of the Plaza Mayor (see post). Its construction begins in the 14C, and continues for more than one century, being finished with important modifications on its initial trace around 1564. Therefore it has architectural elements that are typical of the Gothic, in its main body and structure, and also of the Renaissance, in the works carried out in its last construction stage. It consists of a single and wide nave made of silry and covered stone with starry cruise vaults; with chapels among the buttresses, which are clearly shown to the outside. With chapels between the buttres same. The main altarpiece, the first baroque, the 18C organ and several paintings of the last decade of the 15C.

The Church San Martin exterior is dominated by the large volume of its strong stone structure on stands. It includes a simple Renaissance cover at the feet, located between a sober square base tower to one side and a fine polygonal torrecilla with the other clock; This, open superiorly and topped with pyramidal chapitel. Like the church of Santiago, San Martin’s was for some time the place where the Trujillo Council met.

Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
