The Hay’s Galleria of London !!!

On our visit to London, the family went shopping of course with my dear late wife Martine en point all over. One of the places we enjoy was Hay’s Galleria. I found an older paper picture ( not the best quality but is it) , and made me write this post for the memories of always. Therefore, here is my rendition on the Hay’s Galleria of London !!! I have been there a few times , couple times with the family on vacation and several other by me on business trips. London is more as like going back over the pond, but a bit more aristocratique. We love the night life and the free museums but the shopping is awesome too. We walked all over took the underground/metro/subway and the upper deck buses. However, shopping was it.

The Hay’s Galleria is an impressive  office space and exceptional retail and residential opportunities, Originally known as Hay’s Wharf in the 1600s, and then the famous Larder of London in the 1800s, it was at the center of the trade and shipping port, most famous for its tea imports, until it was damaged during WWII, When with the face of a man and the body of an industrial-age ship, named The Navigators, was installed. This unique 18 meters (about 60 ft) sculpture, was commissioned to commemorate the shipping heritage that Hay’s Galleria holds so dear. The shopping arcade was elegantly designed with a striking Victorian style glass roof and the docks’ heritage was protected with its original tea and produce warehouses restored to include five interlinking buildings; Goldings, Counting, Shackleton, Tea Auction and Hay’s Lane. With 20 retail units, 28 apartments and 300,000 sq ft of office space over five floors, the premises caters for all commercial needs including 24 hours security, bike storage and car parking.

There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
