The B&B LaPepa of Madrid !!!

I love to take you back to my wonderful dear Madrid. Another soft spot in my heart and always come back to it, lucky me. I have written many posts on my dear city and you can tell my inclination for it. It never cease over the years since that day I came upon it in 1971.  The City has many memorable spots since youths days and continue to this retiree guy, I like to tell you on the B&B  LaPepa of Madrid !!! I came back to Madrid after all the sad news with my boys. We needed to see Madrid again, so much in this city since my teens years and it never stop to love it. My dear Martine love it too, and my boys. So we decided to come back alone, renting on our own just to be us and see the memorable  spots that I have so much written in my blog on my Madrid. The boys and I alone, we rented a B&B  LaPepa. I can tell you raves about our lodging, I took from a friend and directly from their webpage dealing with nice Europeans folks of Italy and Romania as hosts.

The B&B LaPepa was located at Plaza de las Cortes 4, 7th floor right close to the Congreso de Diputados or the Spanish congress! and attach to the Thyssen museum! near Prado and the works; great location. The place was clean well stocked, friendly folks, and a great value for the money with the lodging and breakfast included we pay 90 euros per night! A bargain considering the chic business location and straight line on carrera de San jeronimo to Puerta del Sol as well !

There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
