The Restaurant Eiscafe am in Koblenz !!!

We like Koblenz, full of history and architecture I Like. This will be an updated post as found out the restaurant has open again ! This is a quant experience with a resto in the Deutschen Eck or German corner of Koblenz. Some foodie sites reported them as close but I could not confim, Therefore, let me tell you about snacking time on the Eiscafe am in Koblenz !!! Hope you enjoy it as I

We came to Germany several times usually for in and out trips to the Trier area for many years. For one, we came to see the country as much as possible with our car ,and we rented a house in the south of Trier. From this house in the wine country (see posts), we road warrior Germany into many places. One that I have heard and finally visited was Koblenz,and it was a hit with the family. We walked all over but the most memorabla one was the point of the Moselle and the Eck on a grand beautiful promenade call the Deutschen Eck or German Corner, While there we got hungry!, and we came to discover the Eiscafe am ,and we love it.

The ice cream parlor has been one of the most popular and unusual locations in the city since 1997. It is located directly on the Moselle promenade, approx. 150 meters from the German corner, with over 350 seats (including 90 weather -protected and heated). The special view of the Ehrenbreitstein, German corner and the Rhine fortress invites you to linger. A modern water playground was created on the ice cream parlor. The new cable car is also in the immediate vicinity at about 100 meters. Wonderful !

They had good sausages and beers to boot a long afternoon like we did not wanted to leave; and great ice creams as well!! My dear late wife Martine really enjoy the ice cream! Definitely we will look for it again , eventually, The food, the ice cream, cafe and beer were very good. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The restaurant had an outdoor terrace on a very nice spot in the Deutschen Eck or German corner. Sublime !!!

Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
