They say that it is “the mother of all varieties” for its ability to adapt to the terroir, however poor and dry it may be.The coolest and most expressive of all grapes, versatile and all terrain, for all tastes. Of Spanish origin, Aragonese of provenance, the Garnacha is one of the great protagonists of the Spanish territory and one of the most planted strains in the world. The French call it Grenache and appreciate it especially in areas such as the Rousssillon or the Rhone, where they mix with their Syrah to soften tannins and give rise to sublime and balanced wines. But it is also very present in the New World, especially in different regions of Australia, Africa or the United States. In Spain, the Garnacha tinta (red) is queen of denominations such as Campo de Borja (Zaragoza), Rioja, Méntrida (Toledo) or Calatayud (Aragon), where a good part of the old vineyard is located, the most precious. in Navarra they have managed to take advantage of their aromatic freshness by elaborating exquisite Rosés (rosados). The Garnacha Blanca,(white) meanwhile, has found its place in Terra Alta (Catalonia), where they understand it as nobody. But there is also Garnacha Peluda (hairy) and even Garnacha Gris, Try it is delicious any color !

The DO Rueda incorporates the Cenicienta grape variety and adds the Bruñal as a secondary variety, it is a grape discovered in a vineyard of the Arribes, rescued and planted in a prefilexical vineyard that the viticulturist Javier Sanz has in La Seca. That was where he developed this variety more than two decades Verdejo Colorado, although it was finally discarded for the name of Cenicienta (Cinderella) , Webpage : https://www.bodegajaviersanz.com/nuestros-vinos/
