The Shopping Center Cidade do Porto !!

I am going to update this older post with new text and links for you and me. One of my memorable trips was going by car to Porto from Lisbon. Eventually flew back home from there see posts, Always heard of Porto and love the drink, and finally was there. I have several posts but feels this one needed an update, Therefore, here is my take on the Shopping Center Cidade do Porto !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The Shopping Cidade do Porto, aka Shopping do Bom Sucesso, is a commercial area located in the Boavista district of Porto. It is located opposite the Mercado do Bom Sucesso (see post) and the Galeria Península.

The Shopping Cidade do Porto was built in the first half of the 90s, and has more than 15,000 m² of leasable area spread over four floors which were given the name Piso Lazer (-1), Bom Sucesso (0 ), Gonçalo Sampaio (1) and Mouzinho de Albuquerque (2). The structure of the building comprises a wide central span, in one corner of which is a panoramic elevator. On the underground floors there are 560 paid parking spaces. It has last count 112 stores and two food courts, one on floor -1 and another on floor 2 Among the approximately 20 restaurants and cafes are represented.  The Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Bom Sucesso is attach (see post).

The shopping Cidade do Porto , is just around the corner from the hotel I was staying, and you have several high end stores here. It has been preserved by modifiying several aspects of it after its construction in the 1990’s. You have now several stores and restaurants It’s an alternative to kill some time in the city. a pleasant airy way to shop too and seek Portuguese products.  The anecdote here is that one of Spain nicest supermarkets has a branch here Froiz Great ! Some of the store I love and browse shop galore were the Bertrand Livreiros bookstore, my fashion store Cortefiel, Springfield and the beforementioned Froiz just for browsing.

Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
