We are back to my dear Spain again !! love it !! We came by car of course and took time to see new areas and old repeat as could not be in Spain without stopping in my Madrid! I came again with my boys and dog Rex, and it was a thrill as usual! I like to tell you more of Madrid to heaven and a hole in the sky to look down on it everyday !!! The city of Madrid is the capital of the kingdom of Spain, and located in the Comunidad de Madrid region From my latest escapes it is 211 km from Valladolid City , 198 km from our rental house in Velliza, 183 km from Tordesillas, 172 km from Rueda, 159 km from Medina del Campo, 199 km from Simancas, We made long walks all over the City , and took the metro when necessary, three times. I love to tell you of our latest escape to the wonderful City, for the memories of always and return, eventually.

The Bar Restaurant El Jamon, Gran Via 59 , this little spot was right on our walking warrior mode and we were hungry. We went by surprise thinking the name was the same as museo del jamon (see post), wrong this is a completely different resto El Jamon or the Ham,

Anyway we were quickly Seated and given our menus as well as accepting our dog Rex who as usual was well behave. We wanted something simple because we knew we were going to try all. Therefore we ordered some classic jamón ibérico croquettes along with a tortilla, goat cheese, and iberico and lomo hams slices, and slices of tomato spread breads, all wash down with a bottle of Rioja Viña Real red 2020 very good, I must say this was the most expensive restaurant we ate in our trip to Spain by far ! Just this came out to 30€ per person !

These croquettes were good as was the tortilla all fresh and prompt service, The ham was quite exquisite and blend it together well. The tortilla was exactly what we wanted very simple traditional pie slice with eggs and potatoes. The food was enjoyable simple and good.  They had no webpage The location is Gran Via 59 tel +34 915 42 94 20 as you walk towards the Plaza de España is on your left hand side, Our first experience but not one looking forward to be back as said it is overprice even for Madrid.

Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
