And to put more personal things in my blog which as said is my life’s history here I come again, I have been told and finally realised my life has been very rich not just in travel but life’s accomplishements, I have been blessed with great company all the way until my dear ones began to fade away in my older times, I am in my belle France and feeling nostalgic about these places and did found me a picture of this monument, Therefore , here is a bit on the Daytona Beach Bandshell !!!Hope you enjoy it as I.

The Daytona Beach Bandshell is an amphitheatre on the beach or as we say locally, the world’s most famous beach. It is located at Ocean Avenue, north of the junction of Main Street and Atlantic Avenue (A1A). The first facility constructed was the 48 feet (about 14,5 meters) by 114 feet (about 34,5 meters) of natural coquina rock bandshell which seats 4,500. Read and you will notice I lived for 18 years in Florida in addition to four years of University studies!!!while domicile in New Jersey (see post). I went to Univ studies in 1977 while living in houses in Daytona Beach ,and eventually moved into a home my parents purchase in Ormond by the Sea by 1984, My first encounter with Florida was a brief visit in 1974 on the old National airlines to visit my aunt (dad’s sister) in Miami Lakes,

Here at the Daytona Beach bandshell had a lot of fun, parties, concerts and just plain beach bum times, love it and still like to brag about it, The place eventually was taken over by the MTV Spring Break crew and many more concerts at the bandshell. MTV Spring Break  refers to the channel’s annual spring break coverage featuring numerous live performances from artists and bands on location

Known for its annual free summer concerts, The Bandshell has also hosted everyone from Blake Shelton to Buddy Guy to Huey Lewis & The News! The Daytona Beach Coquina Clock Tower and fountain is located south of the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell. The clocktower and fountain has been a symbolic landmark for the “World’s Most Famous Beach” since 1937. The unique design of the clockface that features the letters D-A-Y-T-O-N-A-B-E-A-C-H instead of twelve numerals is 55 feet high (about 17,7 meters). Built from native Florida coquina that was quarried locally, the clock tower is one of many iconic photo ops throughout the Daytona Beach area.

My background comes all the way from Candelaria and Pajara in Tenerife, Spain where my grandparents came from ;not knowing each other then, to Punta Brava, west of Havana, Cuba. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting. Moving average a home every 5.5 years hopefully this will be my last. Cheers All rights reserved.
