Spain’s National Heritage now allows images to be taken inside the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial and other buildings under its tutelage for the first time in its history. National Heritage already authorized the taking of photographs for visitors in the Royal Collections Gallery on June 28, the same day it opened to the public ( I was thre in July see post) . It is also allowed from today in the Monastery of Santa María la Real de las Huelgas, in Burgos, as well as in the Royal Palace of Almudaina, in Palma de Mallorca. Sources from this organization indicate that they are studying expanding this measure to other spaces under its supervision. In the Madrid area, the Reina Sofía National Art Center Museum has also recently authorized its visitors to take photographs. On the other hand, in the Prado Museum it is still not allowed.
