This is back to memory lane ,and foodie me just love Madrid !! As I was with my boys and going to memorable places we have been with their mother ,my dear late wife Martine, we came back to usual places, Memories oblige we came to Cerveceria Cruz Blanca at two locations dear to me. This is new text and pictures in my blog from my latest trip there Therefore, here is my take on the Cerveceria Cruz Blanca of Madrid, part I !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.
Cerveceria Cruz Blanca redefines the concept of a brewery and recreates the old classical and chaste taverns that originated in the early 20C. My visit have been to the property at Calle Dr Esquerdo 157 (near Conde de Casal) with a great terrace with two parts: one next to the semi-covered premises that has water sprinklers in summer and heating in winter and tables on the street in summer. The place is on the side of Dr Esquerdo where the sun shines in the afternoon so the best option is always with sprinklers in summer. This one have been on my business trips as stayed closed to the Ayre Gran Colon Hotel (now a Crown Plaza hotel).(see post)
This time took them to another memorable one and my first taste of the breweries at Calle Menendez Pelayo ,47 (across from Retiro park) .where I came walking and so did this time with the boys, by Sanz de Baranda metro stop. This one I came going to the Retiro park which is across the street, and found it at the corner of Calle Sainz de Baranda and Menenedez Pelayo, It was a hit so have come back again, and again this time, The friendly service, quick turnaround, good food and nice prices are it here!

As was staying at Plaza de Herradores just steps from Calle Mayor, there was another one there and had good breakfast postings, I decided to visit this one too and had a wonderful breakfast Americano and pure orange juice before departing home, Another great experience at Cerveceria Cruz Blanca, Calle Mayor 68,

There you go folks, always a wonderful feeling been in my Madrid, The food is great, the ambiance is wonderful, and the prices softly just what the doctor ordered, Madrid has more restos/bars per sq km than any other city in Europe. The Cerveceria Cruz Blanca is right on, keep it in mind, recommended, Buen provecho, vale. Again, hope you enjoy the post on the Cerveceria Cruz Blanca of Madrid, part I !!! as I.
And remember, happy travels, good health, and many cheers to all !!!
