The Floodings in the Paris region, île de France 2016,Part II

Well the situation is the water is rising in Paris and elsewhere. The real high was to be this afternoon in Paris but will not be until at least tomorrow before it starts to go down.

In the Seine river the water level reach 6 meters (about 19.8 feet) , and the calculations now is that it may go to 6,30-6.50  meters (highest was in 1910 at 8,62 meters) but higher than the last flooding in 1982 of 6,18meters.

The Louvre museum will stay closed until next Tuesday as well as the Museum of Orsay. The RATP has closed two stations already the Cluny-La Sorbonne, on line 10 and the  Saint-Michel, on the  RER B ,and line 4.  If the water levels continue and reach 6,60 meters which could be but not expected, the following lines will be closed too:  Dugommier, Bercy, Quai de la Gare, Chevaleret,  Nationale line  6, Michel Ange-Auteuil, Eglise d’Auteuil, Javel, Charles Michels ,and  Avenue Emile Zola on line 10, Mairie de Clichy, Gabriel Péri-Asnières Genevilliers, Asnières Genevilliers-Les Agnettes, Asnières Les Courtilles and the stations to the north on line 13,the line 14 completely, and  Charles de Gaulle-Etoile, Auber, Châtelet-les-Halles and Gare de Lyon  on the line RER A.
The Grand Palais was closed from 14h30 today, and more closing are expected Saturday on the Bois de Boulogne, l’Ile de la Jatte, l’Ile Saint-Germain, and Rueil-Malmaison where the highs are expected Saturday morning.  The zouave  has water to the knees now but it is not in the same spot as in 1910 where it was up to the neck, if it was left at the same spot todays flooding would have reach the same level!

The line RER C was closed last night ,and the train line R is closed from Moret-sur-Loing and Montargis; also, ,the line RER D due to a landslide in St Fargeau has closed the section in the axis Corbeil-Melun until this weekend.  On the trains line N, due to a landslide in Meudon, the line is closed between Paris-Montparnasse and Versailles-Chantiers, expected to re open on Monday June 6 .

The Palais de la Découverte was closed this afternoon.  On the lack of electricity last count are 9400 in Seine-et-Marne (77), 6500 in the Essonne (91), 800 in Val de-Marne (94), and 140 n the Yvelines (78) . The RER C between  gare d’Austerlitz, Javel, and the station Henri-Martin is closed.
