Versailles, its grand, its royal, its a beautiful city.

Well just one more turn to my beloved home for the last 9 years, Versailles, its more than a castle, its the royal foundation of France. Each time its nostalgic, even places already photograph once there again look new, nicer. I was there the yesterday again, as needed to do last minute cleaning on my house, its closing final sale mid September (another excuse to go back), and of course it will always be Versailles to me, the best, and I will be back. I have other posts on Versailles, I guess ,I will never get tired of writing about it ::)

This time was a quick trip, and just wandered a bit on my neighborhood which is Notre Dame, and just around the collegiale Notre Dame church, the one where all kingly residents had their baptism, marriages, and funerals ,and records were and are kept. You can even see the gisards of Madame de Maintenon on the left of the altar. I took a photo of the back where the salle Notre Dame was my meeting point in the neighborhood. I went over to the marché Notre Dame on an early morning, to see the preparation at place Notre Dame where the best market in the region is held. The buildings all representing a trade, the marée for the seafood, the farine for the bread, the viande for the beef, and the aux herbes for the legumes vegetables spices, all marvelous combine with the outdoor fruit ,vegetable market and then mingled with the clothing etc flea market , awesome. My stomping ground not to be found elsewhere, not in Paris, not here in Brittany yet. The entry to another world of the passage des antiquaires, where antique dealers of old sell the best on the trade. I did walk a bit around the area, taking pictures of my old hangouts, the ETS Revert hardware do it all store, the Gibert & Joseph book store, the favorite late evening weekday resto L’Aparthé, wonderful blend of asiatic and french cuisine.
