Some news from France LXXV

Here is a little post on new things happening in France and especially the Paris region.

As everything French the fashion world is going on with new Galeries Lafayette stores all over the world, yes we are coming at you if you dont come to Paris lol!! It has been announce by the group  the opening of five to seven new stores from now to 2015. In the first trimester of  2013 the chain will open a store in Jakarta ,Indonesia.  Two stores will open eventually at  Jakarta, as well as in  Pékin, Doha and Istanbul. The stores in Istanbul and Doha should open by  2015.  The group  Galeries Lafayette had open their first store outside of France at Berlin in 1996, then  Dubaï in 2009 , and  Casablanca in 2011.  The group ,also,have 55 stores in France, especially the historic store at  boulevard Haussmann in Paris.  If you are into Fashion, this is the publ to read on, in French but la vie est belle en France, http://www.fashionunited.fr/

Some of the best squares/plazas  in France to walk ,show off your best outfits outside of Paris, from my experience and that of leading people magazines in France are, Lille, place aux Oignons; Montpellier, Place de la Comédie; Mulhouse, place de la Réunion; Nimês, place de l’horloge; Lyon, place des Terreaux; Reims,Place Drouet d’Erlon; Bordeaux,  Place du Palais; Clermont-Ferrand,  Place Jaude; Strasbourg,Place Kléber; Nice, Place Rossetti; Rennes,Place Sainte-Anne; Metz,Place Saint-Louis; Nancy, Place Stanislas; Grenoble,   Place Victor Hugo; and Toulon, Place Victor Hugo .Just need to add Paris, place Victor Hugo to be complete.

Some of my favorites gardens in Paris, known to the world, and appreciated by me are, Jardin des Tuileries, place de la concorde design by Le Notre for king Louis XIV in the 16-17C. Jardin des Archives, 60 rue des Francs-Bourgeois ,75003, Square Jean XXIII, ilé de la Cité, Jardin des Plantes,allée Cuvier,75005, Jardin d’Inspiration de Cluny, 6 place Paul-Painlevé, 75005; Jardin du Luxembourg, blvd Saint-Michel,75006, Jardin de L’HÖTEL Matignon, 36 rue de Babylone, 75007, design by Claude Desgot (nephew of Le Notre) and Achillé Duchéne. Parc du Champ de Mars,Champ de Mars near Tour Eiffel; Jardin du Ranelagh, Chaussée de la Muette, 75016 (heavens on earth), and the wonderful parc Monceau of course. Recently there was an event on gardens that is going every year, I missed the event ,but reading gave me the idea to write about my favorite gardens ,the site for future use is here, http://www.jardinsjardin.com/  its the 9thEdition so next year keep an eye for it.
