2011 in review, Thank you all my friends, best wishes for 2012!!!!

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 57,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 21 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Paris missed you already, and soon back !!!

Ok so wondering around beautiful Bretagne, I am beginning to feel city sick about Paris. The eternal Paris, away but never really gone, far away yet so close in the mind, and the way of life, I am a city boy and will be all my life.

Today its the start of sales in France, its the annual winter sales, and the stores are massed up with savvy, shopper, waiting for the doors to open to rush in and get the first try of everything.  A site in French but gives you all the sales dates in all the departments of France, webpage

The English group of restaurants Pret à Manger has open its first resto in La Defense, at the Centre Commerciale Les Quatre Temps, under the Dome at level or niveau 3. The food fresh is taken from the Paris huge food market at Rungis and its done by Franco-Anglo chefs.  Here is their webpage

The American trend of Brunch is becoming more trendy each week there is new places doing this style of restaurant service, so look for them as good value and great French food to boot.  Les Pipelettes,31 rue Brézin – 75014 , and a more italianesque Simone & Nicola 36, passage Charles-Dallery,75014.

For a chic hotel  Hotel Raphael , 17, avenue Kléber  (75016). Who has been here? well Serge Gainsbourg,Jean-Luc Godard ,ex Soviet President Gorbatchev, John Malkovich(producer of Le Figaro Figaroscope) , Bernard-Henry Levy and wife singer/comedian Arielle Dombasle. webpage

We all love the 2éme arrondissement, the smallest in Paris. All around the Grands Boulevards, and the passage des panoramas, passage du Grand-Cerf,passage Choiseul, and the Galerie Vivienne, do they ring a bell? oh yes, how about my wine tasting ground and historical place of the Bourse, or the Palais de Brongniart, yes the Le revue des vins de France annual wine tasting in May is done here, and for more see the webpage  ,also a church done by king Louis XIII at  Notre-Dame-des-Victoires by Place des Petits-Pères.

Full of art too in the 2nd at Théatre Montorgueil, 3 rue du sent, The Grand Rex,1, bd. Poissonnière and its webpage , and the rue Sainte-Anne (name after Anne of Austria),and now call by locals the Little Japan. Shops galore too, my favorite because my father likes the rices there, and ,also, many spices  is L’épicerie de Bruno, lots of rices in small metal cans from many parts of the world 30, rue Tiquetonne, webpage And classics of the Paris French cuisine like the Le Grand Colbert, 2, rue Vivienne , webpage and Aux Lyonnais, 32, rue Saint-Marc , webpage of the great chef in a bistro setting is, and the more upper in my opinion but still good ,Drouant,  16, place Gaillon at webpage

Above is the artificial firecrackers royaux and also the season at the Opéra in the castle just wonderful events to time it with your visit, webpage same here

And to know ahead of time for the musical, nights, and water fountains plays in 2012 stay with Chateau de Versailles spectacles webpage at
