The center of Bretagne, Loudeac and Plemet

Hello to all my wonderful readers, today its already 2012 lol!!! It has been a wonderful and challenging 2011 and I look forward to another excting year in France.

This was a short business trip and found another little corner of Brittany, right in the center of it, at Loudéac, and nice to be there on your way to the coasts. The transportation highways by car,the hotel and restaurant structures are very nice. More on the region here

There is a nice church here as Church of ST Nicolas from the 18C, and two wonderful hotels, La France at 1 rue Cadélac which I did not stay and the Hotel des Voyageurs, where I stayed. It is very comfortable for short stays, rooms are nice, and it has a lively mini bar in lobby with TV screen, breakfast is copious, and the staff very friendly. It does have parking for additional cost; the webpage is at part of the Britt and Logis de France chains.

We arrive in the afternoon ready for a meeting, then we went to a very nice restaurant le St Antoine in the village town of Plemet, this was supposely visited by French actresse Marion Cotillard.  It is a Gault and Millau rated restaurant,  8, place du Général De Gaulle 22210 Plemet, Tél :+33  (0) 2 96 25 61 62, French cuisine and very nice setting, recommended. The village town of Plemet ,more here

The best way to get to the area is by car, actually any other will be almost imposible if impossible. Take the N165 Nantes-Brest road and get on exit D767 towards Locmine, then follows Pontivy, Rennes, and finally Loudeac then Plemet. Tourism in Brittany is here for more information,

In all a nice introduction to another nice area of Brittany , to be discovered fully.
